About the Role
A growing engineering company in Bromsgrove is looking for an ambitious Junior Design Engineer to join their close-knit team.
This role is ideal for someone who has already begun their engineering career and wants to continue developing into a highly skilled Design Engineer within a supportive environment.
The company designs and manufactures bespoke machinery and special-purpose equipment.
Several of the current Design Engineers started here as juniors and have progressed into senior positions, proving the clear career development on offer.
Working alongside experienced Design Engineers, you’ll gain exposure to the full design lifecycle, from concept and 3D modelling through to manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities for the Junior Design Engineer:
- Producing 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings
- Take ownership of design tasks and projects as your experience grows
- Take part in design reviews, problem-solving and brainstorming sessions
- Liaise with production/assembly to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
- Maintain accurate design documentation and assist with BOMs
Key Requirements:
- Completed or completing an Engineering Apprenticeship / HNC / HND
- Experience using 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred, but not essential)
- Keen to learn, contribute ideas and take on new challenges
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, team-focused approach
